Video Wiki? (Just A Suggestion)

I've seen the success of the TF2 Video Wiki on YouTube (
http://www.youtube.com/user/OfficialTF2Wiki ) so i thought, what if we made our own? It would give new players a more visual start to the game, and would improve their tactics. And why not fort designs, too? People may not have the time for it, but I would volunteer to make a few tutorials. I have fraps (and obviously AoS).
So what do you guys think? (Look at the poll :P )
EDIT: Due to a generally positive response, I'll get started on Tuesday! (I have family that I'm meeting for Easter and stuff so I willn't have time until then). I'm just wondering if we have an official YouTube account yet or not, if not I would make a visual wiki account if the admins give me permission. Thanks for the support guys, hopefully the first video will out by Friday!

That's a pretty good idea, actually.
How do you want to do it though? Like, a megathread made by an admin where we post our videos.
And if they'll like it, they'll put it on the youtube channel?

Yeah, something like that. Hopefully this post will catch an admin's eye.
I think a good idea would be to apply your own tutorial for it, to show that B&S and AoS Classic is community driven

Well, there aren't exactly a lot of stuff to show off. It's a pretty simple game.
Maybe there could be tutorials for creating things such as maps as well?

That would be good. There are loads of tutorials out there, but it would be good for one central location for reliable up to date ones

I don't think anybody would stop you. You even have a reasonably good username to start up the series yourself!

There isn't much to show?
Here's a sniper rifle, one shot to the head instantly kills a person.
Here's a SMG, it has a high rate of fire and can tear through enemy cover. Also it's considered overpowered and everyone using it is considered a noob.
Here's a shotgun. It's a shotgun.
Spade - the melee weapon, which also digs blocks. Left click to dig individual blocks which also picks them up for you. Right click to tunnel easily.

Well I'll put in a bit more detail than that, because there is more detail to be had. Example;
"The rifle is a sniper's best friend. Good at medium range and deadly at long range, the rifle can deal critical damage on a headshot. Be careful, though; the rifle is not 100% accurate, so you may miss, and draw attention to your hiding place. Use it stealthily and you'll be at the top of the leaderboard. It is often used for support, so use up your ammo when or just before your team is making a push forwards into an enemy base. Use it offensively, as defense is good with other weapons."
That's the basic script for an episode, so... yeah

Well come back to the thread if you think you've found a way to help and I'll say yes if it is actually helpful. I'd be happy for you to help in some way!

yep, that's about 4 videos, how many videos could a TF2 and a CS videowiki have?
But I still think it's a good idea. There could also be tutorials on how to create a pysnip servers and all that stuff.

Nice, I personally find it easier to make videos with a script ready.
