If you don't like it then leave or tell one of the server admins what they can do to improve there servers. I really don't think there is a lack of any thing on any server.

Gabrieloup just likes hearing the sound of his own voice. I think he is attempting to express some sort of disdain for admins here. The copypasta of the Chaplin speech from the end of The Great Dictator was a nice touch though... I sort of can't avoid getting the impression that Gabrieloup is a bit late to the party here and, quite possibly, isn't even clear on who the players are in this game. With one breath he makes the assertion that some of the operators and admins behind some of our most-beloved servers are less-than-competent. With the next breath he asserts that we should remove /votekick completely and rely on those very same incompetent badmins! And maybe it's just me but he even seems to loosely associate us with Jagex. He just wants to rant, so I say let him. It was also highly amusing last week when he totally blew his gourd on IRC (inexplicably calling everybody within eyeshot an "OTFAGG" or something along those lines) until he was kickbanned.

Gabriel, was it you who was in Sham's a few days ago, telling everyone about every minute detail about every single mod you had for Ace of Spades? If so, I'm not surprised that people tell you to shut up...

Simple solution:

Start renting a vps... host your own server. Conveniently forget to load votekick on it... give yourself admin privs... load your favorite maps... write your scripts... find admins that are willing and able to moderate your server 24/7 (it's a lot harder than you think)... and make your own server rules.

comparing admins to dictators, eh? you act as if what happened to you is something that happens for a large majority of the players... it is actually pretty rare to see an asshat as big as you on the server. we litterally had players thank the admins when you got muted. dont act as if youre the voice of the people, youre such an isolated case, finding a similar case is like finding the proverbial needle.

if it seems like the world is against you, you should probably try and see what they are complaining about. looking at ones own faults is a noble thing.

we indulged his irritating banter.
the mute because he started to be rude to other ppl.
the mute evasion.
the ban because he evaded the mute.
the assault of #shams as what can be classified as a pretty rowdy "ban appeal".
and the bankick on #shams.
and now hes whinning here about freedom and oppression.
