VoxelAuth - Beta Release

What is VoxelAuth
VoxelAuth is an authentication system for Ace of Spades. It will allow servers to whitelist users, track stats and make administration easier by replacing the awful /login system pyspades currently uses. It's still early in development, but the basic functionality is there.

Features
Most of these are only partially implemented, but will be rolling out soon.
  • Whitelisting
  • Stat tracking
  • Automatic admin login (no more messing around with /login password)
...and a whole bunch of other magical possibilities.

Register
To use VoxelAuth, you will need to register on our website.

Pyspades Plugin
Currently, the plugin will allow people to authenticate using VoxelAuth and use their chosen display name. It will soon have the options to allow non-VoxelAuth users to join, whitelisting of VoxelAuth users and automatically logging in VoxelAuth users to specific pyspades ranks (as if they had typed used /login).

I approve of this project. Mainly because I'm working on it. I'll work hard the next couple days to get my parts finished off.

This has been a much needed improvement since day 1 of Ace of Spades' release and I'm glad you've taken the time to do this!

So basically, you log into this program. And from there on you can play on any whitelisted server where you are whitelisted?

Yes. That part is being implemented now. I've got a majority of the client side stuff done. The server side script should be ready in the next couple days.

Considering I help out with Iceball a bit, and the fact that it's open source, I'll probably write a plugin/mod/whatever for it when it reaches that stage.

This brings that thought of so many ideas! DO you think with the ranks that we could have it on a server where you start with a shotgun, then after 10 kills get an SMG, then after 15 you get a rifle? Nice job BTW!
