The GBL actually stood for Global Blacklist, but essentially it was a ban list. :P

I've mentioned it to Stack that he needs to bring back a blacklist of some sort.

Since Jagex 1.0 Incident? Possibly also since Build and Shoot comes live.
On GBL, something like this must be done for Iceball, when more servers and better multiplayer supports come. Or when Grease wanted it.

It's still up, but all it's really doing at the moment is existing. Nobody is adding/removing bans from it so it's pretty useless imo

As far as I know the two primary server hosts, Minit and aloha, have a somewhat-sharing thing going on with bans. By that I mean Minit bans people who are banned on aloha, so anyone banned on aloha is also banned on Minit. This is done automatically. Vice-versa, a lot of Minit admins are aloha admins, and so they often ban people from Minit and then do the same to aloha. So they have a shared-banned system, somewhat.

A true global ban/black list would be nice.

The Minit -> Aloha ban sharing was dropped, I think, but the Aloha -> Minit sharing is still going.
So, if you're going to hack, please ensure that you have multibullet + nospread enabled, then go nuts on Aloha. Thanks.
