Why are there not that many map makers?

It seems like there are only around five people making maps. Why is this? Are there not enough resources? Are the tutorials too confusing? Are there not enough tutorials? What do we need to do to find more map makers?

Because almost nobody plays on any map that isn't Hallway or Pinpoint, so nobody wants to waste time by creating a map that nobody will play.

Because making a map does not take only 2 mins, or even 2 days, and that it needs an idea and motivation.

Idk, I want to try making some maps but the tutorials are a little hard and I don't think anybody would play on my maps so I find it a waste of time
