I think any pair of combinations with pink, blue, orange and grey would work

Both are good for visibility. There is one thing tho... grey color is a default block color. All players place grey blocks when they are building in a hurry. Also, grey is closer to green than orange is and grey are in a better position while in shadows/digging. This might affect the gameplay so I recommend purple/blue. Again... make a poll with all pros and cons.

well since my eyesight is rather bad, i must admit that it is slightly more troublesome to spot greens on especialy long distances
if you ask me the contrast between blue and pink offers a good visibility for both of the teams
(and the suggested combi grey/orange is a tad too bright imo)
but to be honest people playing in the league are so experienced that the teams colors have extremely little to no effect on the performance of the players
i am pretty sure there are more important things to worry about than the colors though

hmm regarding the team sizes:
why dont we let the teams decide whether they want to play 3v3, 4v4, 5v5 or 6v6?
we dont need to change the entire system, if two teams agree to fight with only 4 players then
why the hell should we stop them from having fun? we have to be a bit more flexible here in order to make matches happen (more frequently), there is no need to limit it as heavily as in the prior league (where you werent even allowed to fight with 4 people even if you wanted to)
- of course this may require smaller maps?

additionaly i suggest picking a random map (maybe via script?)
whenever one team (or both) decide to bitch about choosing a map while everyone already joined the server, these useless discussions waste way too much time
also you would be surprised to see how quickly both teams agree on a map suddenly when a map has been randomly chosen that both of them hate :3

these two suggestions could help reduce the at least 30min pre-match time where everyone is trying to gather members and fight about the map

this may be just only my personal point of view but i am strictly against the option to veto subs
these matches are about having fun what is the point in excluding someone who wants to play?
i mean if you choose someone who is gonna have three times more kills than the rest of your team, you are pretty much a coward that goes without saying
if you veto someone then only because you are afraid of losing, which makes you a coward as well
we could avoid that by restricting subs to be only tower builders, but that would ruin the fun for the entire team

your team sizes suggestion I'll have to think more about. It is very outside of the box.

The random map suggestion via script might actually be in place for season 5. A goal is to use hosting.buildandshoot.com to dynamically create league servers as needed and IAmYourFriend already has it set up to automatically pick a random map if no map is sent via the api.

I agree with Morph, we should definetely use ̶g̶̶a̶̶y̶ pink player models since green players are hard to spot, especially on IoW.

The reason people can veto subs is to stop teams from gaining unfair field advantage by subbing in a more skilled player. We seen it happen to plenty of teams and go on to win because of said substitute. It's not about being a coward it's about being smart. What's the point in playing if you know you're doomed to a loss because of one player who synergies well with other the rest of the team he's subbing for. The whole point is to keep the matches and teams as fair as possible, veto's allow the players that power.

AK used coco and kumio a bunch of times in season two which lead to us tieing a whole bunch of matches we should have lost.
