Yeah maybe you're right, lets say 250 caps? Cuz in irpg normally needs 100 caps to win(normally 5 hours).
I think a game that a single person cannot play beginning to end is too long. I would say that the threshold of play time would be 3 hours unless you're really dedicated.

Maybe it would be a better idea to have multiple games instead of just 1 super long one.

.... have classic gen servers up... Just because there are hardly any classic gen servers with decent player populations... Well that I have seen at least.

Perhaps 64-player 0.76 (with openspades compatibility).
We could hold a match like this (on classicgen) and maybe even have it be the inaugural match for the official move to 0.76. Perhaps once one of the scripting geniuses is able to get something like this working, we could start planning the match and hold sign ups. This really sounds like a lot of fun.

A special newsletter to announce all this and the anniversary in general would be great too.

This right here is the best idea in the world !!! Not going to lie at all! I would honestly find a reason to play this game again even more.

Yea a 0.76 match on classicgen would be great. Plus move to 0.76 and a special newsletter.

Why does everyone want to switch to 0.76?

Take off all the unmoderated (jestservers, call of liberty) servers/hallway servers off the serverlist. Thanks in advance.

Actually, because it's better than 0.75 and nobody can be fucked promoting Iceball just yet, and OpenSpades is still using the 0.75/0.76 protocols.

For the one year mark, we are going to finish up a lot of projects we started throughout the year.

a consolidated serverlist on the landing page, the two existing serverlist pages will redirect to the landing page. This is actually done, we are just waiting to complete more work on the bns launcher.

The BnS launcher will be as user friendly, aka idiot proof, as we can make it. Seamlessly joining any server with either voxlap or openspades, joining auth'd servers and providing basic security.

We are going to do the guestbook, where you sign it and get a badge. It will probably start Nov 1st and end Nov 6th.

We are going to do a 24 hour marathon of Ace of Spades. We will play whatever gamemode on whatever version people want to to play on. Maybe even run multiple servers running different gamemodes if enough people warrant it.

We arent forcing anyone to update, everything will be optional as it has been. Server owners can continue to run servers that wont require authentication for whatever version they prefer and players wont be forced to update either. However updating will allow more server owners to make awesome brands like minit and aloha without needing an army or volunteers to deal with hackers, and players will be able to play without the frustration of waiting for an admin to boot a cheater.

Will there still be cheaters? Yes, but we can stop 99% of it.
