And now for reasons why 0.76 is so much better than 0.75!

• The weapon balance sucks MUCH less!
• No more fucking slow font renderer, so it runs at a reasonable speed on systems that aren't Vista/7!
• It uses less bandwidth when there's less than 31 players!
• It automatically saves maps to your hard drive!
• When a new map is loaded, if you already have that map, it stops trying to load the map from the server and grabs the version from your hard drive instead!
• And now, for a limited time, there aren't any publically-available hacks!

And as for the Iceball thing...

I've been writing some Lua code for Iceball, as well as Iceball protocol support for pysnip (Iceball only needs the file fetching service to work in this case), which you can see here: https://github.com/iamgreaser/pysnip/
It's very much incomplete though, but you get a sweet view in spec mode.

I've seen Aloha starting to make a transition to .76, and now Minit has talked about it. I have high hopes!

Please for heaven's sake just remove the 0.75 download if that what it takes to get people to start using 0.76. Just put the link up in a thread instead. 0.76 is just better in every way and should of been the version the majority went to a long, long time ago.

A few months ago this was brought up I think. When I asked Dan he was all like we shouldn't force people to do stuff. And then I told him we should have a memo on the serverlist and he said I'd get back to you on that. Pretty much how that conversation went.
