The accuracy in .76 screws me up lol. I play .75 for the more full servers, when I do play .76 it takes awhile to get used to the accuracy. I'm not used to the bullet actually going to where I aim. lol.

All I've seen on most of this thread is people complaining about problems they have instead of DOING SOMETHING to fix them.
Face it, 0.75 servers are more popular, therefore 0.76 can't be better, otherwise it would be the most popular.
And if arena and flatmaps were terrible, people wouldn't play those servers.
If a server wants to run arena, don't blame the community.

This is a negative feedback reaction. In older versions we didn't have that problem because the old version's serverlist was replaced by the newer one, and "degrading" to an older version was a somewhat effort-consuming process that not everyone was familiar with.

What if all the popular 0.75 servers migrated to 0.76... would that work out good?

But we all know that we're our own reason for why this doesn't happen, we also can't pin this on the BnS admins for not pressing towards .76 like has happened before because they just want to let people do what they want, it's the server owners who are able to control this, but most of them don't seem to care or are just on the bandwagon, which in itself isn't to blame when players find it too "confusing" to simply install a new version of AoS.

Because, it doesn't make since for the server hosters do that. They're not aiming to make a few happy. They want the majority happy. They're a lot of people who like 0.75 so they'll provide the servers for them.

The first thing that someone wants to hosting a server is will it be popular. Or have some activity in them. They will see .75 a better chance because it much more popular. Also not allot of server hosts visit the BaS community to understand what the real problem is. I only know a few that actually come and participate in the whole community.

I'm sure everyone would follow if these server owners did switch versions.
By just using the same thing, day in and day out, things could get pretty boring. The little details matter, that's why having an occasional change isn't a bad thing. It just keeps people interested.
I've currently moved all my servers to 0.76. They've taken a huge hit, going from 20-30 players on usually, to barely 10. Yes, it isn't an enjoying time at first, but slowly people will try 0.76, if you actually provide them with the option to do so.
The fact is they won't right now, not if there are already so many popular ones on 0.75, they don't need to waste their time, not all of them are aware of the differences.
A lot of this has to do with 0.76 not being an official release, not enough awareness and so forth.

Author, as a long time Ace of spades player, your words are beautiful to hear, it's good to no I'm not the only one who thinks the stage it's in right now (i guess we could call if the BnS era, even though build and shoot isn't the problem) is flawed (like hallway after about 2 minutes of people tunneling and building). I myself hope that we together can restore Ace of Spades, no matter how far Jagex attempts to bury classic.
