I'm sorry, but distance is pretty much irrelative, if it is a 'death battle' they would not be roaming around...
Therefore deuce would knock the shit out of Steve with any weapon: 2 headshots with a rifle, 5 headshots with an smg, and a clip (at the most) with a shotgun, it is hardly difficult to kill two deuces in one clip, never mind one betch (Steve) with the health of two deuces... I hope i have made this clear enough...

The thing is though, steve has more health, and no, a gun runs out of ammo, a sword doesn't.

If you read it his gun fire distance is VERY SHORT compared to Steve's Bow. Steve also has invincibility potions, golden apples, Diamond armor, Fire arrows, Fire Swords, and Mob Eggs.
Deuces have medkits....
