I need help. I have no way to play ace of spades! D: Whenever I try to install a new version (As my old one was messing up, so I deleted it) I get this error.

I also get this error when I try to install using the BnS launcher (Probably because of windows installer being messed up somehow)

Here is the full error message. http://pastebin.com/q9WmxGM2
I have tried just about everything on the internet to fix the windows installer, all to no avail. I have checked using services, and it is running. I know it's probably against forum rules, but, if I get desperate, could someone send me their AoS folder, and I could change the kv6 files and such? I really want to play some Ace Of Spades. :/ Any help is greatly appreciated!

Extract the data from the .msi files using 7zip.

Then you can connect via the commandline like so (assuming you've navigated your way to where you extracted the files):
client -aos://3819391052

When you say navigated, do you mean in cmd? Thanks!
EDIT: I got it working! However, whenever I click on a server link on the server list, nothing happens. It only works if I launch it in cmd. Any way to fix that? Thanks!

My suggestion is that you launch it in the commandline. That's what I do.

or manually add the aos:// registration to your registry.
Code: Select all
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\aos]
@="URL:Ace of Spades Protocol"
"URL Protocol"=""

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\aos\DefaultIcon]
@="C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Build and Shoot\\Launcher.exe,1"

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\aos\shell]

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\aos\shell\open]

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\aos\shell\open\command]
@="\"C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Build and Shoot\\Launcher.exe\" %1"

Okay, before I can show you how to do this, you have to tell me exactly where your AoS is installed...
