Help!

So, a little issue I've been having lately is that AoS refuses to work. I'm using the launcher and I can install the versions fine, but when I try to play the game, it makes me select the version (Manual Version Selection) because it cant identify the version of the server, and when I click the correct version then I click launch, a message box pops up for a split second telling me the server connection failed, then another one comes up and it tells me "Connection failed" with the title being "Private Server". Happens on every server, and if I can click the OK in the first message box fast enough, it starts trying to connect, but it never does. Also, this has nothing to do with my computer because it was working before I used a recovery disc on my computer, so comp specs aren't needed.
