Not sure where this goes, but someone help please

Well I am an old member of the AoS forums back in the day. I started playing since .36 I believe, but I am having some trouble. I've downloaded build and shoot launcher and .75 (more popular servers) and I have put the .75 into the BnS launcher, but when I go to log into a server, I get this error "initdirectdraw failed 0x80004001." Does anyone know what I might be doing wrong?

I suggest you set "windowed" to 1 in your config.ini.
While you're at it, set "show_news" to 0.
