What's TC?

EDIT: Ahh it's Territory Control. How is it different from Tug of War?

Territory Control is the vanilla game mode where you can capture any Command Post you want at any time. Tug of War is much more tactical since the Command Posts are all in a line and you much capture each one sequentially.

As much as I love arena and it'd be quite the ball playing with a bunch of skillful players for once, it doesn't seem like the right game mode for an event. ToW is my choice.

Push, because it needs more love. Also I haven't played ToW yet :(

It could be good doing arena w/ SMG disabled. Also, if we ever do that, we'll need to rotate through a few maps (maybe 5?).

I don't understand why people think ToW is "more tactical" ;(

In TC, while sometimes the random placement of CP's ends up looking a bit silly, it seems vastly more tactical and difficult for a team to hold points across a map than capturing in a straight line in never ending back and forward push.

I was never much of a ToW fan, not that I dislike it, so I'd say arena.

We (<BAS>) did a TC match against the forums. Nobody could actually win because by the time there was one tent left, that's where everyone was spawning, and you just couldn't hold them off.

TC is broken, but it's definitely a worthwhile idea as a game mode, it just needed more love (much like the shotgun).

I don't know if it can be done, but here's an idea:

A team would either A: need to capture all the CP's as in regular TC
or B: Get a killcount on the other team to win the round a la TDM.
The killcount could be set at say 200-300 (maybe higher).
CP capture would be worth no points, but are definitely worth it because your troops can be dispersed more effectively.

I'll make a forum post about this somewhere

ToW is looks pretty good at the moment, I think I remember a Tow <BAS> event a while back, great turnout and everyone had fun. I think the map was market garden? which everyone seemed to love.
