Also like others have said, make the controls easier to use, change the splash screen to something more professional-looking, add an in-game menu, etc. This game is pretty resource-intenstive for some reason, at 1920x1080 and quality at 1.25 I only get about 30FPS, when I get around the same FPS on Crysis 3 at 2560x1440 and ultra graphics settings. That would be okay if VoxelWar had graphics like Crysis 3, but it doesn't.

The graphics are already good. I have added a few interesting graphic effects, which don't slow it down , unlike OpenGL, which loves to take up tons of processing power for blur or similar.

@Warp:Sounds like a good idea. Concerning fonts, there are 3 fonts. One is in the BMP folder. The other 2 are built into Voxlap. I planned a font loader, and this looks like a good moment to implement it.

Slippy slidey sensitivity. FPS limit locked at 10. Silly controls and interface. Shooting my gun at same time as mortar? lol Q and E set to render quality? No scroll wheel weapon switch? Graphics is not the problem, and you should stop focusing on that. Get this shit playable first lol. Don't make the player jump all around the keyboard, nerd.
On the bright side, I reallllllly like the damage effect.

You might have 3 problems: Either you have a shitty CPU (means less than 2.0 Ghz) and DDR1 or DDR2 RAM, or you set your resolution to full HD. The third problem is that you might have had a bug that happens with many players, which slows VXW down insanely and makes certain players flash on the minimap.
As I said, VoxelWar is as fast as AoS.

I get 3-4 times better FPS in openspades on max settings. (around 200 fps). I struggle to get 30 with this set to render q .75 and window size 1024.
I'm so done with hallway.

Don't expect high performances in Voxlap-based games. Voxlap was created in the 1990s. Performance will drop on newer computers, and you will need a powerful CPU to get what you fps elitists want.

No idea what performance problems you have here, it's as fast as AoS. MrHaax's statement isn't really true because I optimized it for newer systems.
But for performance problems, I added the quality thing. Try to reduce it to 2 and see how much faster it gets than 1. You'll see that it doesn't look that crappy, and is pretty fast.

Quick Bug report:
I now have had several crashes which have unfortunately made VoxelWar unplayable (at least until I reopen)
On my 0.75 server- built a tunnel into the hill, as I got about 6 blocks in, it crashed in a manner very like the bug in AoS where you get blocked up.
Had to force close it.
On Shaz's server- wouldn't let me use a HMG the first two times, but then when I managed to select it, the game froze and I couldn't look around or ADS. It would exit tho.
I had it on quality 1/1.25, and I was getting 20-27fps in full HD.
(Can you change the Mouse Acceleration/Sensitivity, especially when ADS?)

First bug: Was the tunnel 2 or 3 blocks high?
Second bug: If you didn't know, you have to stand just at where the bipod intersects with the HMG to be able to use it. Did you see at least one frame showing the HMG and the bigger clip? And does it always happen when equipping an HMG or only that one time?
scope sensitivity: I played for like an hour with Morph yesterday and we talked about this and tested it. It indeed makes you do 720 shoots after one small move. I'm reducing it.
