Dead Man's Hand [Down from 23 May]

Hello there, I'm Shrub.
Caramel_guy and I recently started a server called Dead Man's Hand. As of right now it's running TOW on Classicgen because no other server's doing that, really. I want to create a server that brings back some of the magic that Ace of Spades used to have, but I don't know how to do that particularly. So I'm going to leave this server up and hopefully we get some people playing on it and feeling the way I used to feel when I played three years ago. The server is always open to ideas and suggestions. I believe in this game and this community, and right now I feel like this is the least I could do to help improve it and bring life back into the game. So, enjoy, if you want.

EDIT: Forgot to mention Caramel_guy

EDIT: I won't be able to keep the server up from 23 May onwards, due to financial reasons (I'm poor). I'll try and bring it up as soon as I have enough spare money, but until then it'll have to stay down.

This has always been the case for non-Hallway servers, and still is.

Well, basically any server hosting classicgen has no players.

Sigh. Time flies by. The good days of running around on classicgen, with little to no scripts yet being so addictive.

I applaud your effort however.

When I look over the logs it generally gets a peak of 11 players at once a day, so that's not /too/ bad, really. It's usually when I'm asleep, though. I think there's a bit of hope. I wonder if it's just a case of providing the tools for people to be able to play things they've never tried.

I'm renting a VPS, currently. I may move up to something better if server hosting turns out to have good returns.

That IS a great idea! Maybe we could even make it a regular thing. Set up certain gamemodes certain days/times or what have you.

I went and checked and the map currently running is hallway. It doesn't seem to be running TOW on classicgen like you said...
