I think there should be a page for navigation. such as a list with sub categories for all of the areas of the forums. This way they know where the things they need are. It would also allow them to know the correct place to post. Idk where this would go but it would probably help the newer members navigate.

if they cant click to subforums they are either retarded or oblivious, and if they are either of the two (or some are both), then they wont find the list if links either.

You seriously have nothing better to do? "people should look before posting." Noob navigation, would be the subject. meaning this would be an idea for Noobs. meaning new person, meaning they don't know of the index. meaning that was completely pointless. If you can't refrain from posting shit like that stay off my threads.

It's not that they can't navigate. It's more of a, They might not be aware of the location of what they need to find.
It needs to be somewhere easily accessible.

Even if there's an index. That doesn't mean that players can find it. Or know where it is. The hole point of this thread is, to allow newer members easy navigation. As well as hopefully cleaning up the misplaced posts in wrong sections.

Bullshit. The first thing you see when you go on the forums is the Index.

Well, the subsections are pretty straightforward on their own.

Even if he did mean it for retard navigation, there would be no need considering he managed to use the forums properly. Blue_Wink1

And if they haven't been on a forum before and don't know? It can be difficult for a person to know where what sub subject is in what subject and so on an so forth. This is for new players not seasoned BnS members.
It took me awhile to learn where everything was located. There's not a list that pops up saying okay help is located here. with a list of what sub categories are under what subject. If there was a page showing where everything is before they get on the Forums or as a reference later on.

The only reason I learned was because, I got tired of senior members screwing with me about posting in the wrong sections. So I eventually had to sit down go through every subject and learn. And even now I don't know it completely.

Basically somnium wants the boards displayed in their category not just when you enter it. This way you don't have to look for it so much.

More of a page that pops up when you first sign on (a link easily visible on any page later on.) That is essentially a table of contents. For example

Ace of Spades Classic General Discussion:
Random every day topics to deal with Game play and discussion go here.

Modding/Custimization:
This is where Mods are posted as well as where you should post. then each categories following suite.

Servers:
This is where people post there personal, private, clan servers as well as where you may find servers.
etc.

I think it will allow newer members who haven't forumed much easier navigation as well as knowledge of what to post where. And definitely give them instructions on where there post should go. Instead of constantly miss posting in the wrong section and getting messed with over it. Some of the index is really broad on what goes in that section. This leaves newer players at a disadvantage of where to post.

This is already on the Forums.

All the subforums have pictures, that means a total retard could still find what he wants to find.
