How has the overall community changed?

How has the overall community changed? I ask you this as we have been getting a high increase in activity from Redit and other sites, I think that with all the new people the community may have changed. I myself joined the fourms when I was 11, then in august after I turned 12 I joined the mumble. Since that day I have matured far from what I used to be. I still am forced with the mistakes and criticism I got and did when I first joined. Though I am not perfict I have chnagd alot since most of you first met me, I just hope I can redo the damage I have done in duececraft and other neighboring communities. That being siad I also think that other members have changed, I myself have given boyo,TGM,Dan,stack, and Izzy alot more respect since they lost and gained their positions. So what do you think? How has the community changed in your eyes?

when the game was first public the ideas people posted were more interesting, now it seems like it's all just about ways to balance things or suggesting we add an HMG and RPG. all of those things are good ideas, but it just seems like as the game got older the potential for it lowered. it's hard to explain, but a similar thing happened with minecraft, as it went on in development and nothing cool was being added it got to a point where people realized nothing cool was gonna happen with it, so they stopped suggesting stuff.

Do you really want my honest opinion?

It has went to downhill, but it still has the possibility to become something better as it promises.

As a whole, I don't see the occasional names anymore that the previous AoS forum had, I don't see or feel the same quirkiness that we had back then, I don't see any greater overall maturity anywhere anymore either. This current community seems to love circlejerks about how bad the current game is, nor start up any better discussions how to make the situation better overall and I don't see anyone even bothering to mention that it doesn't do anything else than promote even more nonsense to come abroad.

Don't get me wrong, I don't despise immaturity. I've handled a lot of Minecraft servers before, so I believe I can say that for sure. But the way how we're handling the current situation is not the way we should do it at all.

For an example, why does this and this thread even exist? Why no one has brought this up as a concern? If we ever want to make an impression towards Jagex, we should stop this right now. If you ever want to make an impression towards Jagex or something, I'd recommend to better up just a little bit. Don't take it too seriously, but I'm bored of all this as a lurker. Bring me something to read for a while, or I have to write it up by myself.

Here's basically my opinion on the matter: Screw Jagex. They have clearly shown us they don't care about classic and would love to see this site shutdown.

Of course that's just my opinion. I am already pre-biased against Jagex since they ruined my favorite game (Runescape).
