The clan areas of the forums are going under reconstruction (I think), I wouldn't be suprised if you were automatically put into the clan group once you join, and you have Clan: (Clan name), like in the old AoS forums.

i would be surprised if all that happened automatic, because nothing happens by itself without someone putting work in.

Something like this will probably be implemented in the future (related to the new, upcoming clan system). Currently it is not available and it would be too much work to do (new clans get created every day + many clans die often).
