It was longer than that, but I had only heard about it at the 4 hour mark. I know, not a lot of notice but they giveaway free software everyday, that you would normally have to pay for otherwise.

Right now they're giving away CDRWIN9, a cd/dvd/bluray burning/authoring program (10 hours left). They also have a free game giveaway although from what I've seen the games are kinda lackluster.
