Build and Shoot

Been having the really annoying problem with IRC and I need help. If I click a link to a channel I can only do it once. I try it the second time, again it doesn't work. Maybe I am just a noob and this happens to everyone or I need to do something idk. Somebody answer me A.S.A.P
