Jagex bought AoS before 0.6. That's the reason why SoCa Studios was created in the first place.

SoCa Studios came into development in the 0.6-0.61 versions from my information.

I believe it was around .54/.58. However, that's not really what I'm talking about.
When Jagex first officially announced that they had bought the game (sometime in November 2012) they also said they had been working on it for a year. They just didn't mention SoCa Studios being created as a part of Jagex in the US, disguised as an indie game development team (ben and mat^2 had been hired by Jagex). That's why saying that Jagex bought the game after SoCa Studios started developing it is wrong.
