It's better than in most countries where firearms are banned, for example the country I live in (United Kingdom) has some very strict gun laws. The criminals will get their guns if they are legal or not (black markets), and if they're aren't legal they use other weapons (knives, etc). Making guns legal means that people can have a good chance to defend themselves.

The funny thing about this sentiment is that there are literally no statistics whatsoever that prove it's truth, but there are dozens that do so for the opposing view.
Essentially, this is just an argument that is ill thought (I have easily stumped people who use this) out and started by people who feel the need to have lethal weapons for the reasons of being power-hungry.

Also, the U.S. second amendment is pretty obviously the right of the government to field a standing army, not that of each citizen to be armed with an AK-47.

You don't need to carry around automatic rifles, all you need is a small, concealable pistol if any dangers arise. Leave the big guns for the shooting range.

As an Australian, worked out pretty well here, leave the guns for a shooting range I say.

PS. What's the deal with Americans fearing Obamacare? It's a good concept and it works... Well at least in Australia.

We need to protect ourselves from migrants from third world countries.
So I vote no.

what a rude.
My mom is from Estonia and my dad is from Russia.

Tell me, do you really think that at least one of those countries are third world?

Actually this is surprisingly civil, albeit with a few trolls.
