It depends on what genre you're interested in.

Well, the "good stuff" is often hard to play, and since you are quite new to the guitar then the best you can do is to keep it simple really. I guess the rolling stones is a good place to start, easy to play and most people will recognize the songs. That is if you play electric guitar anyways, if you play acoustic guitar then I can't really help you much.

I usually like anything rather than rock music (i like to hear rock music tho but anyways)
if you have any music you have rather than rock i would appreciate it if you tell me the song if its hard then i would ask my brother who plays a guitar [:

Acoustic and electric are literally the same thing, other than the fact that electric generally have a few more frets and pickups, although, you can buy an electric pickup for an acoustic. Anywho, I recommend learning to read music, other than just tabs(implying that's what you're learning off). I taught myself and learned by ear, and read tabs, so when I pick up sheet music, it fucks me over every time. I'd say stay away from songs that don't have chords, for the time being, 'cause chords are pretty essential and memorizing most of the chords is a bitch.

Wrong. One runs on power and the other one shouts out of a hole (phrasing?!).

If you want to learn some good acoustic stuff, I can certainly nudge you in the right direction. I spent ten minutes composing a list of songs I can play and not a list of songs that are easy to learn lol. Classic mistake, however these are some good basic songs to learn:

The Kinks - A Well Respected Man (easy as fuck to learn)
Creedence Clearwater Revival - Bad Moon Rising (again ez as fuck)
The Beatles - Yellow Submarine (ez-iest song ever)

However if you require more challenge, learn to play metal on an acoustic guitar.

Good luck and keep practising.

I don't actually play any instruments(tho I'd love to learn how to play the violin and eletric guitar someday), but I heard Justin Guitar is a pretty complete website with a lot of tips and tricks, guides and lessons in general.

This is almost advertising and could get you flagged.

This time I'll allow it.

Nah jk. Also worth checking out is Ultimate-guitar.com they have a pretty good forum section with lots of neat guides for the starter or advanced players looking for techniques to try. Things I would advise you read up on: Scales (Major and minor), Chords (especially barre, 7th's and maybe some sustain chords) and how to read tablature (they're kind of like simpler music sheets). Learning the guitar takes time, and perseverance to even get slightly good. Unless you're like my mate Jimmy who can play everything and only played for the half the time I have (either he's twice as good or I'm really bad I'm not sure which).

Always happy to help an aspiring musician along, so good luck!
