Found this image earlier. Seems appropriate.

EDIT: Also, is it just me or is the title woefully misleading? They did not "declare war" they sent a few troops, the reason being as one newspaper published "the Prime Minister of Crimea claimed control of all military, police and other security services in the region and appealed to Mr. Putin for help in keeping peace there." The prime minister of Crimea Sergei Aksenov urged Putin to send troops by saying "“Understanding my responsibility for the life and security of citizens, I appeal to the President of Russia Vladimir Putin for assistance in guaranteeing peace and calmness on the territory of the autonomous republic of Crimea,”"

The US secretary of the state Mr John Kerry put it quite well in his statement (link- http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article ... rport.html Scroll down to see it)
He mentioned that "We were told that they (Russia) are not engaging in any violation of the sovereignty of Ukraine and do not intend to"

Although we can't really trust Putin..cuz well Putin.
Please help me out if I misinterpreted anything.

This is either going to turn into a shitstorm or is going to die pretty soon. Putin is pretty unpopular in Russia nowadays, I doubt he would have the popular support needed for a full-on military intervention.

U.S. Secretary John Kerry called an unprecedented act of aggression policy of Russia in Ukraine and he has threatened Moscow about harsh reaction from the international community, including the complete economic isolation. In this Sunday, March 2, reports Reuters.
"In the twenty-first century we can not behave as in the XIX century and invade another country under a completely false pretext," - said Kerry in American TV channel CBS, noting that Russia is able to avoid the worst scenario and resolve the crisis.

And this is how World War 3 starts. Does anyone know why the World Wars always start in Eastern Europe?

Putin has agreed to have peaceful talks with Merkel in regards to Ukraine. Most likely what will be done next is a referendum to see if Crimea wants to stay with Ukraine or Russia(most likely Russia, due to the high population of ethnic russians) without further military action.
Welp, now there is just politics ahead, people.

CRIMEA IS IN RUSSIA NOW (almost)
For joining the Crimea to Russia voted 93 percent residents of autonomy who came to the polling stations, according to the exit polls published Kryminform agency.

Voter turnout in the referendum exceeded 80 percent. In Sevastopol, said "Interfax", the voter turnout was more than 85 percent of voters.
In a referendum which was conducted on March 16 in the Crimea were raised two questions: "Do you support the reunification of the Crimea with Russia on the Rights subject of Russian Federation," and "Are you for the renewal of the Constitution of the Republic of Crimea in 1992 and for the status of the Crimea as part of Ukraine?". Kiev considers referendum unconstitutional similar opinion was expressed by the OSCE and other international organizations. Crimean authorities, in turn, insist on the illegality of the ouster of the country's president, Viktor Yanukovych, which was carried out by the decision of the Verkhovna Rada on February 22. Russia recognizes that referendum is legitimate.
