Also, the weapons restriction law in America is fucking retarded.

Restricted magazine size? Fine.
Pistol grips, muzzle compensators, folding/collapsible stocks, Picatinny rails are illegal? Fuck you politicians.

Guns should be strictly regulated to keep them out of the hands of madmen, and open carry demonstrations only prove that point.
Keep the gun control debate out of this thread - the OP specifically asked that this not be brought into discussion. In the (unlikely) event that someone claims this isn't a political issue and is fair game for this thread, they're incorrect. By all means start another thread related to gun control, but keep it civil. I don't want to see this thread degenerate into flaming and mud-slinging.

No, it's a political issue, dealt with politically, and is exactly what the OP wants to avoid. Whether you agree or not, it's not being discussed in this thread - end of.

Just because you believe it to be political doesn't mean anyone who disagrees is wrong. That's not how things work friend.

Open carry is far from political, it's just people using their guns. The op mentions nothing about no unpopular opinions.

Then again, the OP didn't clarify what he considers as 'political'.

I will allow all this so long as it stays respectful.
After all We are all intellectual people right? And the treats of a real Intellectual respects the opposing side's (of a debate) viewpoint.
on the political side I think when you buy a new gun you should have to do psychology tests to be sure you are mentally stable enough to own said gun.
@Mr.Haaax
on the "material" side I heard Vietnam is buying new Galil ACEs (31 and 32 models) from Israel to replace AKMs in service there
they use 7.62x39 (AK-47) bullets and mags so that will be a life saver on logistics.

I definitely agree, though it's worth noting that laws only affect those who abide by them, people can still get weapons through the black market and online on hidden markets.

that is where that whole "if guns are taken away only bad guys will have guns" comes from

Galil ACEs? That's odd, where did you get that from? Source please?
By the way, did you heard anything about testing Skorpion EVOs, on that topic?
Edit: just looked it up, an English firearm blog posted about it last year, citing this: http://m.nguoiduatin.vn/lai-lich-hai-su ... 82001.html
Although the pictures looked genuine, Nguoi Dua Tin(rough translation: The Messager) is notorious for being full of bullshit. I wouldn't trust that. Of course armies 'round the world are always looking for new weapons to replace, the reporter could've used the picture of their testing. Besides, our homemade AKMs are still in good shape and I believe that we don't need anything bigger, we're a peaceful country!

while I would agree that you fellas are a peaceful country I just think the government there is just trying to "modernize" its small arms
