Well, actually, a funny fact: They didn't use a unified calendar where everyday was registered. That popular image you see everywhere is called the Sun Stone if I'm not mistaken, it is Aztec, not mayan(doesn't make much a difference as the Aztec calendar was built up the Mayan one) and it isn't QUITE a calendar, it was created to celebrate an emperor's crowning or something, so it is more like one of these commemorative plate for Obama's election, but 5-foot and made of stone.
