Mroberts. He is the moderator for Jagex on the Ace of Spades forum website, though there is more then meets the eye here. This thread isn't going to tell you to love the guy or hate him but rather tell you his back story and why he hasn't left yet. Let us begin with how he became forum moderator and meet the community manager.
Mroberts worked on 8realms with sally. While working in on the project the two became close friends. So while 8realms went down sally was moved to runescape and later to Ace of Spades.
Now sally was looking for a moderator to help her out. So she picked Mroberts to help her out with policing the forums as it is a very hard job as we all know here. So he has been doing a job for a friend all along! This is another reason why he has not left. Though I believe his opinion on the matter has changed. I have been told alot of information from him. He has shown me what they do over at the forums.
He told me alot of stuff but alot of it he wishes for me not to say anything about as it could hurt his position even more. He was also the moderator on rune zone til I released to the public videos. He was then removed from moderation team for being "correctly incorrect". All of which was because of me.
So he was not allowed much freedom but stuck around to help his friend. What I am trying to say is that don't blame him to much for the stuff he does. Though there is still alot of back story and things you all would love to hear such as how stack over flow is meta, thats a word problem!, that is all the time I have for today.
My end goal though is to build the bridge between Jagex and Build and shoot, and I think I am doing just that. Even know I think Dan understands what Jagex has done more and more. Though it is also my job to inform people, I feel bad when I have to inform people that someone was fired for my actions, not that he was ever being paid.

Doing it to help a friend does not absolve you of blame. Also, this attempt to fix bridges is rather useless, as you're talking to the lowest level staff. People here have problems with those making decisions, not those enforcing them. If the people enforcing them left, there'd be hundreds of others ready to jump in to fill their place, wanting their taste of power.

When you say that he worked on 8realms, do you mean that he actually was hired? Just out of curiosity.
