Very simple game, very difficult to actually do well in it. Here's some quick tips:
* Do not bump your teams flag carrier (FC). Ever.
* Do not leave your base empty, especially if your flag is still there.
* Do not swarm your own base with your own players. There's a good chance you won't be able to stop the cap if they get your flag.
* You can play defense from the enemies flag, if they take your flag.
* If you have the flag and the enemies have your's don't run into their FC.
* You can play defense by carrying their flag. By taking their flag, you inhibit their ability to cap.
* Juke: someone is chasing you, wiggle to the right and watch them dedicate too much towards following you. You'll shake 'em once you get good at it.
* Use power-ups.
* Bombs are usually placed to hurt your base's security, not help it. Clear them out.
There is a semi-serious Major League following for the game, actually. Albeit it's a small one. Check it out: http://www.twitch.tv/tagprotv/c/3307946?t=5m27s
The game's a load of fun, you really should try it. 80% of the community is founded on reddit, so if you want more strategy tips, head over to http://www.reddit.com/r/tagpro/wiki
