Hey! Gears for Breakfast is running a Kickstarter for their new game, A Hat in Time. It's a new take on the N64 platformers/collect-a-thons (Mario 64/Banjo Kazooie), and I think you'll be quite impressed by its visuals:




I helped doing some final audio mixing for their Kickstarter video, so I thought I'd post it here.

If this sort of game appeals to you, I would definitely consider backing it. Even though they've already reached their funding goal (which really is nothing compared to the game they're making), they need to reach more than $100,000 USD before the Kickstarter campaign can actually cover the costs of making the game.

Going to hazard a guess that Jonas Kaerlev is related to you somehow.

Sure - we're brothers. It's quite a coincidence that we both got into the game industry! Or, well, perhaps not.

By the way, Grant Kirkhope (the composer on Banjo-Kazooie, etc.) will be composing a track for A Hat in Time if they reach the 150,000 USD stretchgoal. I think that's pretty cool.

This looks absolutely amazing. I would definitely try to help by throwing them a few bucks, but college is making me too broke to help out.
