Dan said that build and shoot is getting their own factions server but when?

I am really wanting to get a Feed the Beast server up. I might make it an online server though.

Never herd of feed the beast. I can understand why you want to make it online but they have plugins such as authme that make it so you have to register an account in the server so people cant log in as you. I myself am a cracked user and I think a third of BnS is too. So please do not make it online as most people wouldnt be able to play.

yes fritz its deuce-craft but dan doesn't want to make it public as then he would have to put online mode on and moderate it. People well known in the community are allowed to join though. i haven't seen anyone on it it weeks BTW.

If he's worried about someone logging in with his MInecraft name to get admin he can download a registration plugin. (http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/loginsecurity/ is a decent one) If he's worrying about hackers/cheaters then he can just download NoCheatPlus and use spigot which includes a orebfuscator I believe.

DeuceCraft is a vanilla server and since it sometimes runs snapshots that would not work out

Well for an online server that is open to the public it wouldn't work like you said because of plugins not being updated. But depends on vanilla. Do you mean Minecraft Vanilla or Bukkit Vanilla? Im amusing Minecraft due to snapshots and on bukkit you wouldn't use the first few builds. But for a online server it is best to use Bukkit or Spigot. So if you did want it to be open to the public it would be best to convert.

Which FTB type will you be using (if it is FTB)? I host an FTB ultimate server because it's not over the top (unlike unleashed) and it isn't not fun from too little mods (FTB Lite).

If it's a bukkit server I am an absolute freak when it comes to YAML, I can type in permissions and set-up plugins for years, so I could help with that.

You don't need to make an account, and like normal servers and bukkit servers, you can allow it to accept cracked users.

A lot of new discussion in an old thread. If there is still interest for a somewhat public mc server. I think we might be able to delivery.

But please no FTB. It just sucks so much and is completely unnecessary and makes everything lag so bad.
