San Andreas

I've only played GTA:SA, but the guns look like they're implemented better in GTA IV.

Never got around to playing GTA IV, so I'll have to go with San Andreas by default. Either way, I'm really looking forward to GTA V, the trailers so far look great.

So let's go more in depth about the question, with the pros and cons of SA and IV.
SA
Pros:
-Good Maincharacter
-Highly Customizable CJ
-Huge World
-Nice Storyline
-Lots of stuff to do
-Great Soundtrack
-Grove Street, Nigga
-Easy to modify

Cons:
-Shitty Graphics (GTA: SA came out in the same year as Half Life 2, compare both and you'll see an huge difference)
-Bad AI
-No zoom at many weapons
-Terrible Airplane/Helicopter Controls
-Cities are small, not really detailled and people spawn randomly or pop in

IV
Pros:
-Awesome Graphics
-Detailled and huge Liberty City (looked way better than SA's cities)
-Zoom at many weapons
-altered controls
-Great Soundtrack
-Easy to modify
-Nice Storyline
-Internet Café

Cons:
-Niko is not half as customizable as CJ was....
-......because of that, many players couldn't identificate with Niko
-At the release-date for PC, it was full of bugs and wasn't even playable for gamers with ATI-Videocards
-Smaller World than SA (but more detailled)
-But worst: NO FRIGGIN GROVE STREET, NIGGAH!!!!!!111oneeleven

So well, if we count in nostalgia, SA will always win, but if I look at it without the pink nostalgia-glasses, i like both games the same, and I'm wating for GTA V to come.

GTA SA for the fun + gameplay + multiplayer

GTA IV only for the graphics!

Am I the only one that prefers GTA IV over GTA SA because of better physics and not graphics?

Well I prefer IV too.
Also cause I really liked the coversystem.
And the Characters were pretty good.
