I doubt this is ever going to happen. I remember seeing something like this years ago too. It's just too big a project to complete.

I agree, just think of the massive requirements needed to play.

well, it would be like a MC server I would gues, you only load parts of the world and when you move, you unload and load new parts.

Although being able to support a huge server with a game world the size of Earth will probably be a bit of an issue, too...

It would cost a lot, but the technical stuff behind it is nothing new.

If they can manage to actually create it. It will fail.

People in gaming now-a-days tend to be impatient. They won't want to spend time reinventing the wheel. They want to have it already.

They won't try and work in teams. They will try and create their own nation on their own. It will be a lot like the clan scene in many games. All the 12 year olds will try and create their own, while some of the smarter people will band together and have more success.

It will either progress to slow boring the crap out of the players. Or to fast making it impossible to get the most out of the experience. Some people will want the game to move fast till they get to a certain age and then want it to slow down. Some will want the whole thing to move slowly. Some will just want everything to go by super fast.

Honestly, I don't think games like this will succeed. And if they do, they will only be a fraction of what they promised to be. Which is why I definitely will not support this project.

What is with everyone saying all the 12-13 year old people are so childish and dumb, you have to realize that not all 12-13 year olds are the same annoying little kids.

Take me for example, 13, Not childish and dumb
