Hey guys, I'm new to this forum (only just registered, but been keeping up to date since 1.0 was released).

Begone is a browser based multiplayer shooter, which has a semi-realistic feel. Users can choose to play in either first or third person depending on their preference (although updates have been discontinued for third person). To play, one just needs to install the Unity webplayer plug-in installed, then they may play via the link below. With 6 maps and plenty of players online, it can be quite a fun game.

Rather than me explain here's a video that does it better
The game has just recently been updated, so you can choose your own attachments for each gun, as well as adding a pistol as a secondary weapon

You can play the game over at http://www.nplay.com/BeGone/.
If you like the game, and you enjoy the community feel, feel free to head over to the non-official Begone forum at http://begonebrotherhood.forumotion.com/. If you decide to go to the forums, look out for me, my name is Unique, be sure to say hello.

It really does make good use of unity, I felt it was more like battlefield though.

I absolutely hate browser FPS games, why? Because lag. I lag 10 times more in browser games than in desktop games.

You don't know my computer.

Anyways I just tried it out. It's pretty fun, except that at the beginning of each round I get like... 20FPS.

yea, its an ok game but they could have done better since they used unity. Me and Adolphus played it the other day and it was fun Blue_Happy1

My fav gun is the M4.

Though I also like the SAW. The M110 and the shotgun I suck with.

The game is pretty shit, the M4A1 is overpowered and is the only gun that instantly rapes me whenever I poke my head out, the shotgun is pretty fun and everyone generally sucks at the game, I miss the earlier versions tbh, 1 map, 4 guns, grenades. The rest depends on your skill.

I'll stick to Counter Strike.

I have played Begone myself quite a bit. Every now and then I play it because it feels close to Counter Strike and I don't feel like buying Counter Strike. This is a great alternative for it.

Heh. Didnt know you advertised it here too Uni. Anyway, Im Tsuna208 in BeGone. Reason why most people in the game suck. Its a browser game. Probable some people playing their first FPS game and dont know a lot. And they also did have some lag (FPS) issues. Anyway, i find this game fun. Especially if you are with friends. I suggest you register at the forum in the OP and go talk to people on the forums for a few good matches.

It's basically the gun for newer players because of its higher damage/bullet, and lower recoil. However, if you know how the game works, and are decent at it, the MP5 is superior, especially in close range. The M4 might have slightly better accuracy, higher damage and lower recoil, but the MP5's DPS is much higher, and has a higher clip size.

I actually really like this game. Although the servers are across the world, I can get as low as 100 ping on their servers(Seattle, Chicago and Atlanta), and there're Amsterdam servers planned soon. You can have a pretty lousy rig run this(on lowest settings) at 60fps or more, depending on your map. Like counter-strike, it requires skill. Unlike counter-strike, the average player isn't that good, therefore the vets can get up to 10+ KDs in this. All the guns are pretty balanced, and are suited for a purpose. You can't snipe with an MP5, nor can you engage in CQBs with the sniper. The recent custom-guns update(more than 10 different attachments to choose from) brought more diversity to the game.

As a player since January 2011, I can say this game has progressed a LOT. We used to average ~500 players online in Early 2012. Now, we're averaging 2000 players, with 3500+ during peak hours. Although some changes have been made to cater to the mainstream market, it's still not CoD.

With 5 maps, and just team deathmatch, this game will get pretty boring to me, like black ops did.

its no longer just deathmatch. there are sabotage modes now. and they are still making new things for the game like pistols. You need to check it often to see what they did to it.

Note - It's not deathmatch, it's team elimination - Deathmatch without respawning, and much shorter round-times(DM usually lasts ~10 mins, this lasts 1.5-2 mins).
