I like it. Yeah it takes awhile but that keeps you interested. Your not maxed out in 2 weeks. An it involves strategy. Plus the clan I'm in is funny as hell when we're all on.

That's your opinion and a very obscure opinion since Supercell makes 2.4 million a day off this game, and it's among the most downloaded Iphone/android games in the world.
Plenty of strategy games require you to 'press a few buttons'. If you could do everything all at once the game would suck, that makes things interesting. Also, only one purchasable building actually benefits players in the long term. Most other premium currency is spent on speeding up things. It's true the players who spend the most will be at the top, but that said there are divisions in the game, meaning you will always have competition and something to aim for. I also like the strategy and decision making involved.

Clash of Clans is an interesting game, but it becomes very time consuming, and money-grabbing if you are weak.

I quit when I hit level 100. It was my goal, and when I hit it, I was done. It is nice if you have spare time and no life, otherwise, not for you.
