I'm a former major addict to the original Ultima Online, and unlike most other MMORPGs, Shards Online seems to be on the right track towards fulfilling the spirit of freedom that made UO so great, so naturally I'm excited. Let's hope Citadel Studios can pull it off by turning the concepts laid out on the Kickstarter page into realities. Alpha is scheduled for December 2015.

Sounds promising and all, but Alpha at more than a year from now? Let's hope the kickstarter gets it funded all the way by then.

I'll be looking into this soon. Sounds like a game I'll drown myself into again.

Interesting... I will see where it is going then see what I will do. I agree with PI though, Alpha for a year?
