If I understand properly, he's telling us to change the name of the files and change the splash screen so BnS can claim it? Not only is that illegal, it's outright stupid lol.

Also, we don't have any open source code so yeah... Blue_Sleeping

Go to Google Ace of Spades is a Steam game
"Ace of Spades is a sandbox building and FPS game, developed by Ben Aksoy for the PC and released December 2012"
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ace_of_Spa ... eo_game%29

Ace of Spades was an open beta during development. Free to play and with low system requirements, the developmental version used Ken Silverman's Voxlap engine.[6] In November 2012, UK developers Jagex announced that they had picked up the game for a December release,[7] and had been working on it with the original creators for a year.[8]
Until beta version 0.75, game rounds were played on a map which was procedurally generated, although the game also supported custom maps and a map editor.[4][9][10] The beta version also allowed players to modify the models and sounds, with community-made packs available to download.[11] These features are currently unavailable in the Official version of the game.[12]

Release and Reception
The Official version of the game, using a new polygon-based engine and adjusted game mechanics, was released on Steam on 12 December,[13][14] and the beta servers were closed. The launch price was $9.99 in the US and £6.99 in the UK.
In November 2012 Ace of Spades won game of the month on MPOGD.[15]

"November's Game of the Month
Ace of SpadesAce of Spades
Ace of Spades is a free game. It's the best bits of Minecraft crossed with the fast-paced shooter gameplay of Team Fortress."

Fans of the game's beta version are reportedly unhappy with the Official release.[16] A community website named 'Build and Shoot' continues to host the 0.75 version of the game.
So this is a support group for players only
Code not produced and supported by the community
So we can't edit and change code of game files only Psynip server files ???????????????????????

That is correct, this site is a community mainly focused on Ace of Spades 0.76 and lower. There is no source code for us to use, you might want to check out the IceBall project as they are trying to make an open source clone of AoS from the ground up.

A big issue here is legality. The only reason we are allowed to host a .75 master server and still use .75 is the fact that we aren't changing anything client sided.

As stated above, GreaseMonkey is currently working on a remake of Ace of Spades. He is making this with his own engine and not Voxlap. I have yet to try it, though.

For what it is, it is pretty decent. A bit confusing to walk around with but. Decent.
