Oh look BuildandShoot is mentioned. Poor Jagex are going to have to permaban them as well now.

I think you're being a little melodramatic. There are tons of mentions of Build&Shoot on the AoS forums right now and no bans being thrown around.
Now, when you combine "Build&Shoot Rocks!" with "FUK JUGEX! DEyz RUNED ACE OF SPDAES!" and other profanity, then yeah, they start throwing out bans.
I would say the Gamespy article was kind of disappointing if I actually expected Gamespy to write decent reviews. That said, of course there are problems with AoS 1.0 right now but you don't hear Gamespy telling people, "This CoD stinks. Play Call of Duty 1 instead." because it's easy to pick on Jagex being the butt of "Runescape" jokes for so many years along with some other crappy games they affixed their name to, but none of these reviewers or game sites ever have anything to say when companies like EA or Activision release shitty games...which they do...constantly.

I can't comment much on the review as I haven't played the actual game yet. It does seem to parallel what many people are saying on the forums which are largely negative; however until I end up playing I'll reserve judgement on the game [though my hopes aren't exactly high for it].

It's an honor to see BuildAndShoot.com mentioned on GameSpy and I respect the author for his honest review. GameSpy is now one of my primary go-to sources for game reviews.

Here's an ever better example, they gave Duke Nukem Forever 3 out of 5 stars...a game that didn't even deserve half a star.

Jagex seems to be permabanning the creators and initial supporters of BnS, although there are currently tons of "Advertisements" and mentions of BnS that have not been deleted. I personally think they got tired of doing it, and the damage was done, because after all, everyone knew about it.
