Greetings,

We recently invited a select few individuals to test drive the next update, and we are now at a point where we would like to invite the rest of you to join the beta too.

So with out further delay, I'd like to introduce the Ace of Spades Map Editor!

Image

The update will bring map making to the masses & is a built in mode that will allow you to build maps with your friends. As for you old school & pro mappers out there, don't you panic you can also import .VXL map files you have created using your favourite 3rd party software:

Find out more here.
Get Access Now!

Instructions:

1) Right click Ace of Spades in your Steam Library & select 'Properties'

2) Under the general tab add enzymebeta as the launch options

Image

3) Go to the 'Betas' tab. To access the prepared branch 'ugc_preview' enter the pass code: Jag3x_Fri3nd

Image

[PLEASE NOTE: There are many test maps, and before launch we will remove any maps we feel are not at a high enough standard for launch day]

4) Select the now unlocked 'ugc_preview' option from the drop down

5) Allow the game to update & then restart you Steam Client completely (if you don't restart you won't be able to access the servers)

6) Log back into your client, click play & enjoy!

For those of you who would like to apply for access to the beta Workshop please post your Steam name this thread stating so. This will allow you to publish & subscribe to maps. This is manual process, and access is not guaranteed for everyone applying, and will be based on a case by case basis.

You can find the official documentation for the Map Editor here, though please note that it's a work in progress. Please free to suggest and additional information that would be useful to add to it.

All feedback is welcome, and bug reports will be much appreciated! Please do take into account that this is a pre-release beta build though.

I hope you enjoy what you experience,

Sally

WOW! They just wont me over, being able to use voxlap maps in 1.0 is pretty amazing I think, good find izzy. Though this isn't much of a beta now.

They do look a little more sexy with Open GL rendering and the skyboxes.

Well, it's only taken them 7 month to implement any sort of map making tool - that's a pretty quick turnaround knowing Jagex. Maps do look nicer in the OpenGL engine, though I'm still not tempted to migrate to 1.0 due to the way they have treated the community.

I am new in this community and I have no more information about Bourbon Enthusiast because I recently join this form. So I hope you send me full details about your form and looking for past bottling of Pokers Wheaten and cask stern. I am waiting for your replay and i hopeful you must give me suggestions and ideas. You must explain history of this forum.
Oh, hey, welcome! We were needing a new spambot, it's been damn boring in here since the last one was burned in a cross.
