Jagex's Ace of Spades hasn't even been up for a year, and it's already dying.

Chances are, they're probably going to sell it to one of these 4 if the mapmaker doesn't bring 1.x back on it's legs:

Some other large game company (i.e. Activision)
Mat^2
Buld then Snip LLC (us)
Ben Aksoy

Discuss.

Ben is done with games I bet, and mat is working on his own game. I doubt they will give it to us as thats not what Jagex does nor does B&S have money to do that. It will most likely turn into 8realms/funorb/mechscape/runescape.

I doubt they'll give it to anyone.

What you should focus your optimism on instead is, um...
Here's a good reference for you.

Yeah, I'm focusing a good portion of my optimism on Iceball, but just what if?

You're right. It's either going to another just as crappy company or it's going to die.

If EA took it, afaik it would be shit, but it'd actually make SOME money.

But statistically speaking, Jagex have never ever sold a game to another company. So it's just going to die.

I highly doubt Ben or Mat will buy it, and if I was a famous game developer, I wouldn't buy anything from Jagex. Sorry man, but I think Ace of Spades is done for, unless someone decides to buy it. Maybe if B&S had a Kickstarter then they could save up enough money to buy it back. I'm not surprised that it sucks. Jagex is where games go to die and whither. Blue_Crying

If I were a famous game developer I would only buy it to get the rights to 0.75/76 Source.

This type of pigeon-headed attitude of "eh we are going to die anyway, not worth to do anything" is what is going to bring us down.

Please stop responding to this, it's an old thread & no longer reflective of my opinion.

Also, a PM response I found humorous:
