I wrote my honest opinion on it, it isn't worth buying... yet.

In the original AoS, you could create your own servers for your friends or to host a new gamemode that you scripted and thought people might enjoy playing. In the new Ace of Spades, you can do the same.

Bombing the MetaCritic page with 0 ratings and reviews like,

"seriously,this game is way more bad than the classic ones,once in a while AoS is a free game,now,this game is turned out to be a crap,because of jagex."

...isn't going to exact revenge on Jagex for perceived injustices.

For one, Metacritic is garbage, both it's user reviews and critic reviews. The user reviews are almost completely made up of biased "fanbois" or "haters" who both routinely post reviews completely devoid of logic or intelligent thought and the critic reviews are usually just paid for sham, by game reviewers who want to continue to get paid and continue to get free games to review, because once they start blasting game companies they stop getting games and promo material.

Jagex didn't break any promise to keep the game free. When Ben Aksoy sold AoS to Jagex, AoS ceased to be AoS and became AoS by Jagex. The problem a lot of people are having is separating AoS 1.0 from 0.75/76 aka "Classic". The name is the same but the game is not. It would actually be more accurate IMO to call it AoS 2.

And don't be so quick to judge Ben either. He put a lot of work into AoS and wasn't getting a dime from it.

Issues like bugs and lag are prevalent in any new game, especially launch day/week/month. Even top AAA titles are almost always plagued with game-breaking bugs and soul-crushing lag on release.

We had a perfectly functional game that was free and most of all fun. And now we have to pay $10 for a game that doesn't even work well, and from the looks of it isn't all that fun.

Sure AAA games may have problems on release, but normally these problems are fixed in a few days. Been 1 week no updates. Though they have promised to have on out 5 days before Christmas.

Honestly it seems like they didn't put any work into 1.0.
