Is There Even a Future for AoS Anymore?

Seeing from Jagex's "lovely" progress, what do you think will happen to AoS?
I think they'll end up discontinuing the game.
To be honest, even if they pull the plug on the game, I'm afraid they'll just keep it along with their other failed projects. I hope if they do discontinue, they'll at least sell it back to Ben (or a company who can actually handle this game right).

I think that they aren't going to sell it back to Ben. they have 300+ people playing, and if they just kill it those people will complain. They will ask for a refund, and that means less cash for Jagex.
(If you say money in a post, an ad pops up?)

I wouldn't think about the Jagex version too much, we are here for the beta and we aren't leaving anytime soon

They'll probably abandon it. Like with
Funorb.

Jagex plan:
1.Buy good game
2.Turn it into shit
3.Milk money out of it
4.Make crappy DLCs cause you cannot milk any more money out of it
5.Repeat step 4 till you cant make monies with it anymore
6.Abandon game
7.????????
8.Profit

But without official updates to the beta, the game tends to get boring and disappointing when you think of the Jagex situation.

I don't think so, new maps and gamemodes are made weekly ane people are always making events. The Jagex hasn't had an update in about a month and they make you pay for some gamemodes and maps. I think we are fine in our situation; it does get boring though if you do the same thing all the time which is why you should move around from server to server. Don't just stick with one map/server.

I'm talking about official updates to the game, like this:
The reason I'm slowly getting bored of this game is because of nothing moving forward client-side. No new weapons, no new features. Although many people are modifying new things for the game, it's going at slow pace for me. Ever since I heard about the source code being lost, it's become hard for me to play the game as long as I used to.

Revolet, you might want to consider playing Iceball, we're starting to get people playing it every now and then, and it's getting close to the 0.1 release + there's a match on. Plus it's really, REALLY moddable, it's just that very few people in the community can actually be fucked modding it.

My reason for playing it less was because of less players, but I guess I haven't been there often. I would love to check it out some more.

they did make this game right! but they just editied the parts of game like they replaced the engine from voxlap to OpenGL!
They also have a classic mode which is better! and Jagex is making fast progress! the downside is my favorite weapon from B&S has a shortage of ammo. but in my theroy i think They are both almost the same. only diffrence is the one Jagex adopted has more gamemodes and guns and more updates! (im not posting an ad. you can tell im not posting and ad by the mistakes i made)

Wat. no.
That's almost the definition of "making a different game."
They also have a classic mode which is better!
...than the product they made, yes.
and Jagex is making faster progress!
fixed that for you

I don't understand this part. I just don't.

^ summed it up
Jagex are getting better but they will be dropping the game soon. It is ether they drop it or they take a huge gamble and start over with something new.
