Today Jagex and Hasbro can confirm that Transformers Universe will close. This decision comes at an important time for both companies as they both realign their plans and focuses for 2015.
The shutdown period will begin from today. As part of the winding down we will be refunding all those that have purchased a Founders Pack, as well as anyone that has purchased relic bundles and starter packs. These refunds should be all processed in the next 30 days.
We’re hugely disappointed, but the game will be closing over the coming weeks before its full closure at 10am GMT on 31st January 2015.

Just learned about the Transformer Universe game being cancelled, I figured I would search the forums here and add my two cents to the topic. They just officially released it a few months back, I think in May, and it is already cancelled my god that was a short period of time. I think cancelling has more to do with Hasbro than Jagex though. Hasbro knows they have an IP that can rake in cash and obviously it didnt happen. But also I think Hasbro might have made everyone Transformers numb with their plotless movies on a two year cycle. If it would have came out in 2011 when Jagex and Hasbro agreed to make the game and before saw the 3rd movies, it probably would have been the cash cow they were hoping for.

Essentially transformers in 2014 doesn't really carry that much weight or interest. It taking till 2014 to release is Jagex's fault but Hasbro also didnt help the situation by trying to force transformers everything down people's throats.

Naaah, Jagex is much closer to Stalin. Stalin killed twenty million people through the collectivisation of farming, against ordinary farmers' wishes. Many of these peasants legged it when the collectivisation went wrong and set up camp is other communist countries like the Ukraine.
