So, bad optimization is the main complaint? How did those guys managed to fuck up a game with those graphics?

So many people are ranting on about how the new version is terrible, and many more think 'It's terrible, but exactly why...?'

1. Confined, tiny maps.
2. Can't stay alive for more than 2 seconds
3. Nobody builds no more Green_Crying
4. Jetpacks? You're kidding me, right?
5. They've given green and blue nationallities. (BLUE=USA GREEN=UK) Which results in... Green being underpopulated.

Jagex have also rotted the core concept of building and team work, and have turned it into destroying and single-person combat. There is no communication between people, no organising of a good old undermining plan. It's just blowing up stuff all the time. No forts. No barricades even. DIE JAGEX Green_Spade

Fuck, I just bought it and it's literally the worst thing I've ever bought.

I'm going to reserve my thoughts for now. I will say that while some of the changes are interesting, I'm not exactly thrilled at the current development direction. Fortifying and building structures is damn near obsolete now that half the map can be blown up by a couple miners in a few minutes for one.

On a matter of equal importance...why are the forum avatars on BnS on the right side instead of the left? It's disturbing...to say the least.

1.0 is just sad. We need to convince people to come here and play the real ace of spades. I'm glad the jagex version is getting crappy reviews, maybe in a few months jagex will sell it back to Ben when they realize they aren't making any money with the crappy new version. Blue_NotHappy

Thanks to the issues I had with 1.0 I found the build and shoot community with the prototype version of the game.

I also got a full refund - See sticky at the top of the thread.

Are you sure? Because I haven't even noticed that. If they did, it went completely over my head. I don't care what color I play as. I join the team that needs players or if one of the teams is truly filled with griefers or plain idiots (newbs are okay though) then I may join the other team in extreme cases.

Jagex does need to fix in-game team balance though. The game auto-balances when joining or starting the round I believe but after that it's a free for all and a lot of people like to switch sides right before the round ends if their team is about to lose.

That would work, but unfortunately, Ben died in Hurricane Irene, if I'm not mistaken. Might've been Hurricane Sandy.

I know a guy that has a way to connect to a certain guy associated with the name ben who may or may not have made a certain or uncertain game known or unknown as ace of spades
