K im going to give my feed back,,, DAM,FECK, What the hell was i thinking !!!!!!

Im ashamed to say, that i brought v1 today- And im just left with gutted feelings..
I have only been playing 0.75 for 2 months or so and i LOVED it i have never played a game which sent my heart
racing so much.
And after the main servers went down i was without- Untill i found this site- And thought k kinda sick of the cheaters
and thought V1 would be the same game just updated and more cheat free.

NO, This is nooo way the game i have played and love, It just does not feel right and looks nasty- The distance is just a blurr of a back drop, music blareing out,people exploding- Oh and dont get me started on the jet pack thingy..
Its a very un fair match just people wizzing about in the sky (If your in zombie mode you have no chance to kill them)

Erm not sure why there is a sniper (My fav-rifle in 0.75) I had prob 1-2 head shots on a target no kill- Think i was killed after giving my positon away with the shots and player just jet packed over to me and blamm dead-

Maybe i have not gave this game a chance-but its not the game i love & with that im going back to 0.75
and prob not having much to do with this V1- Badly badly badly f*~@: up of a game...

Its not looking good on launch day- A huge huge mistake was not adding classic mode and with "Gran ma's rig" settings for the people who do not have the graphics cards to play it.

Im above specs but it is still nasty-And would be playing classic if it had it. Maybe pulled more of a crowd into buying it
Jagex is not very straight forward with you and have changed as a company (rs player 5/6 years) so i know what they are like...

I used to run a 0.75 server for over a year. I have to say I was indifferent about Jagex, I'm not religiously against them or anything and I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt.

In short, I got suckered into 1.0 as well. Played it a couple times, and this is what I have to say about it:

It's quite frankly one of the most uninteresting games I've ever played. The 1st person animations are actually worse than in 0.75, the maps feel tiny. The guns are very much uninteresting and they managed to make them look and handle "cheap". The crosshairs are a joke, everything's dumbed down to force people to get close to make a kill.

Worst of all: It takes a ton of shots to kill someone. Even the sniper rifle has a ridiculous cone of fire and if you manage to hit someone by sheer luck (skill has no influence with that cone anymore...) then don't expect them to actually die.

Mines are just about the only addition that remotely makes fun. Jetpacks are meh but I can see them be fun once you get used to them. I personally had no problem with people destroying the landscape on 0.75 for shits and giggles, but the incredible ease with which you destroy blocks in 1.0 makes the destructible environments actually less interesting.

AoS 0.75 hit the sweet spot on so many levels for me. But this? This is a bland game and I'm seriously disappointed. I'm not gonna host a server for this.

You're 100% right. I hate 1.0, I bought it too, and it sucks xD.

Here's my thoughts:

Good*ish* things: Um.. *thinks* More gamemodes? better graphics *cough* not really. These things would only be good without lag.

EXTREMELY BAD things: LAG, stupid classes that just make the game wierder, nothing like 0.75. Nothing like the perfect (0% lag) FPS/builder that we all love to play, The guns really suck! xD. And heres the MAIN thing that sucks about it.

This is difficult to explain, but the main strategy in ace of spades was the positioning/size/idk how to explain it but.. lets say the size of your character, how much ducking can do, fall damage, and the perfect Realism of the blocky 3D worlds which we all play constantly. Ducking behind a two high wall used to be the way to go, then quickly jumping up and sniping someone. Not anymore in 1.0 >:v. Also the way the bullets act. YOU CANT EVEN SEE THE BULLETS IN 1.0! (maybe its something wrong with my game, idk.)

I'm not sure if this is just a problem with my game, but I can't see anybody, all i see is a reflected screwed up half invisible shape of a body.

-Terrible FPS movements
-Why is the jumping so easy now?
-Blocks make no difference!
-DONT EVEN MAKE ME START TALKING ABOUT THE FRIGGEN JETPACK xD

Do you guys remember the different damage values of each body part? Feet were low, Legs were low, chest was medium, and Head was high? It takes trillions of shots in V1 to kill someone! wdf!
I got tricked into buying this. The video looked alright. But the game looked terrible. 1/10, JAGEX!

I don't think Jagex were the original creators of AoS. Its a shame it turned out so badly. Jagex screwed everything that was good about the original up. Luckily I found this site so I can keep on playing :D

There will be no such thing, since Jagex host all servers, making cracked servers impossible (well, unless someone mods it to work with third-party servers and writes said third-party server, after figuring out the protocol, etc.
