EXE won the season 3 playoffs, congratz to them. We are delaying the start of season 4 for a few weeks to allow us time to rework the rules so they are more clear, restructure the clan section of the site to include league activities there, and hopefully have authing ready by the start of season 4. There is a good discussion about season 4 and the direction it should take here.

A short Arena tournament will probably happen in the next month or two. It will set the groundwork for a variety of tournaments featuring different gamemodes.

OpenSpades 0.0.10 was released by yvt on new year's day. It features new ui improvements, editable ingame settings, and few other things. If you would like to see the latest builds of OpenSpades before yvt releases them check the OpenSpades section of the site as learn_more has been diligently releasing unofficial builds in between official builds.

LinesSPQR is having a 1v1 tournament soon. If you are interested sign up here.

LinesSPQR is also having an MTA event. MTA is Multi-theft Auto: San Andreas, a fun multiplayer mod for GTA: San Andreas. It will be on Sunday, January 12, 2014 at 2:00:00 PM (Greenwich Borough time).

Last year the philosophy with the news team was show interest, join, and find a place to help. No one had predefined roles. Not having predefined roles lead to a lot of people joining but not knowing where they could help. So, this year we are going to change that. We want people who will specialize in reporting on clans / leagues, maps, modding, servers / scripts, etc. If you are interested regardless if you are already a news team member or not, contact me and let me know what role you would like.

Kiwi, giving credit where it is due. The main focal point of the picture was the art I made for the newsletter. The only person who built this was I and with no one else. So giving yourself the credit for something you had nothing apart of is pretty upsetting. Even though you took the picture and we decided to use it since it had a better capture. To sum this up, I made the art, you took the picture. Credit it mine 100%.

Now now ladies, let's not ruin the thread just because it's that time of the month again.

The new openspades update is great, it seems to have a good future ahead.

Also lastofs, great work on the video, reminds me of those old Lasse gjertsen videos.
