Hi guys and gals,

I figured it was time to write a newsletter of sorts for the site. I am going to shoot for releasing a newsletter every two weeks. If anyone would like to help with writing and maintaining it let me know.

New Moderators
Let me introduce you guys to Buffet_of_Lies, Influx, Ki11aWi11, and SIMOX. All of the are veteran mappers and modders and will be helping moderate that section of the site.

Badges
In the very near future we will giving out variety of badges to highlight users who have made outstanding contributions to the community as a whole.

More information can be found here http://buildandshoot.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=1921

Pyspades Scripts

There has been a lot of headway made in writing scripts based on territory control. We used to only have TOW but with the help of BR we will have a lot of new and exciting gamemodes coming out soon. If you have any ideas for gamemodes involving multiple check points check out this thread http://buildandshoot.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=1599

Also there is a new gamemode that I wrote called push. Teams spawn with their intel and must bridge from island to island to their command post all the while dealing with an ever present enemy. Craftdinur made an excellent video explaining it in further detail.
V^3, tank, and Dany0 have made custom maps for push. All are in rotation at

play it now using the link below!

V^3 has uploaded his maps and are available at:
http://buildandshoot.com/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=757 Swamp Lands
http://buildandshoot.com/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=758 Lost Islands
http://buildandshoot.com/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=760 Ice Break

Launcher
Stack is working on a multi version launcher that will allow anyone to have multiple versions of AoS installed it will automagically launch the current version when you click to join a game. This also means we will have a multi version master server and a multi version server list.

Additional news: .75 is getting closer and closer to 1.0 in players online.

As soon as the first DLC comes out I bet $100 that 1.0 will have less players and BnS will have more.

It's a bit hard to compare 0.x and 1.0 in regards to player counts. You have to take into consideration that they have spend tens, if not hundreds of thousands of dollars on advertising efforts for 1.0. We haven't paid a cent, nor have we advertised, yet. It's all organic traffic and yet we are commonly on par with their player counts.

That's exactly why it is so impressive!
And I really hope someone codes a percentage line in between the two graphs, so we can see more easily how much we're progressing.

If we are going to do it we might as well do it right and create a news group with a hidden forum and badges. It shouldn't be a hard job. We need to track what is happening in the world of Build and Shoot and write up a summary every 2 weeks. Maybe we can get some newsletter graphics to spice things up a bit.
