[request] Hold the intel gamemode

How it works:

There will be one intel, like on Babel. Everyone tries to keep said intel, which makes it though for the one possessing it, as he will have everyone else try to come after him and kill him.

If possible, then whatever person holding it will get, say, 1 point per 10 seconds. I'm not a coder, so I wouldn't know.
Something else that would be cool, would be several clans trying to keep the intel, and make fortifications to shield whatever guy who has got the intel.

Would be the first gamemode where more than two clans can compete on the same time.

I won't go too much into details, since whoever (if any) codes this can do it however they like.

Hmm, at first it sounded like a mode similar to "rabbit" in Tribes. So there would be 2 teams and 1 person with the intel, while the intel-holder's teammates have to protect him?

Never played Tribes, so I wouldn't know. But it's supposed to be everyone vs. everyone, so no teams. Unless you team up with a friend or something, but that wouldn't be officially integrated.

But of course, two teams vs. each other is by no means a bad idea, and probably easier to code as well.

hmm you could probably edit the script for n/a so instead of the team geting a point for how long they hold their intel its only for one person then add a lil bit of arena and you got a new game mode!

This sounds like a fun game-mode. But challenging. Noting that the intel carrier can just dig himself underground and sit there all day. We would need a flat map.

Or maybe the intel carrier is automatically marked on the radar?

Well, there aren't many things impossible really. With some CODING MAGIC, I'm pretty sure it would be possible even if hard. Heck, in older versions capturing the intel would show enemy players' position on the minimap, it could be the opposite of that: Instead of showing enemies, the guy with the intel is shown.
And if I'm not mistaken, guy with intel being show was even IN the game at some point. I can't remember exactly as it is almost 3:00:am and my brain is as good as drunken so yeah, I can't give you much info on that.

Yes, this is the only possible way to do this.

Which means the intel holders positions should only be updated every 10 seconds or crazy server lag will ensue.

I guess you could edit the infiltration game mode script to get most of that, i'll mess around and see <3

PS: The most I've ever done with python is making a glorified worm... so this won't end up very well at all...

Idea for showing the intel carrier. Since it's FFA make everyone appear on the other team. This means they don't show up on the map. When someone picks up the intel they appear on your team.
