99% of the time, there are two people or more using aimbot on a single server.
Yet people are not aware of their these people's hacks until they are completely swamped, is there a way to combat hackers? to report them or something...?

Servers have votekicks, anti aimbot, and an IRC where you can talk to the admins

What jdrew said. Alternatively, if you're able to catch video of the hacker doing his thing and upload it, then show it to admins of the Minit servers we'll definitely keep our eyes open for that player, and if you can get his IP (probably only if you're a server admin) then we may (but probably not) be able to pre-emptively ban that player, provided the video evidence is conclusive. I'm part of the staff so I guess this is a bit of shameless self promotion but Minit generally has one of the most solid ban nets around. If you're looking for a place where hackers are usually dealt with quickly and effectively, come try a Minit server. :)

Now, I'm not one to immediately jump to conclusions about someone's wrongdoing, but I can certainly spot something odd is going on when I know I haven't been seen and have been hidden a while only to instantly take a shot to the dome the very millisecond I come out of cover.
Admins shouldn't interfere with users on a server policing themselves. Particularly when the admins weren't there for when the shady things were going on and can't expect to be able to jump into a server and see that person doing anything dodgy for the next 5-10 minutes without sitting there silently on an alt name for ages, something that can't be expected of admins really.
Just my two cents, put me right off minit I'm afraid.

Usually when a votekick is cancelled from IRC, it is either for a reason that is very obviously not worth a votekick or for someone we're pretty damn sure doesn't cheat. Albert falls into that category. I'd argue that it is our job to make sure that innocent people don't get banned, even if that ban is "just" a votekick. We do have to interfere to do that. We (or at least I) very often enter a server under an alternate name and watch people for several minutes. It is something that I expect from our staff - we're there to ensure that the bad people go and the good people stay. If you ever have a doubt about a decision one of us makes, please do bring it up to us on irc or our forum - irc://irc.outs.in/#minit and http://www.minit.nu respectively.Kodiak wrote:What jdrew said. I don't want to start an argument with you, but I don't think the admin who cancelled the votekick was out of line at all. A community like Minit does get a few "regulars" and we like to take care of them.
