Introduction

So here is a new tool by me for you map makers Green_BigSmile
With this you can convert .vxl maps to .obj files; so you can import them into blender for example
(This program needs java. You haven't it yet? http://www.java.com/)

Download here: http://www.mediafire.com/?c31c3phmn6bb1pk

How to use (Step by step)

1. First choose one map you'd like to convert, be carefull this map mustn't be to complex.

2. Then Drag and Drop your vxl file on the Voxel2Obj.exe

3. Wait until javaw.exe has been closed

4. Now open blender
5. Click on the center of the screen an press space on your keyboard

6. Type in "import obj" then hit enter
7. In the file selection dialog select your obj file. Now wait some secounds/minutes
8. We're done! Your map is imported into blender!

if i saw it correctly, each voxel gets an object.

maybe adjacent objects should be merged and all ;)

Does this support .kv6 files as well as .vox files? Or should I just save my .kv6 as .vox? I don't mind, just curious. Please respond.

The software has really taken our focus away from the hardware side of things
